The North Star, also called Polaris, is an unmoving beacon in the night sky. For generations, the North Star has been a guiding light for voyagers and travelers, letting them cross the unknown without getting lost. In the history of escaping enslaved black people, the North Star was used to help brave escapees find their way true north to freedom. Because the North Star never waivers it has stood as an enduring symbol to guide and lead toward a purposeful destination. At the Inclusive Guide we feel like it is the perfect representation of the journey we are taking together toward true equity, justice, and inclusion.
