COHORT OVERVIEW:
This five session leadership cohort series is designed for those at executive and managerial levels of their business or organization. Alongside your professional peers, you will learn key terminology, gain the tools necessary to draft strategies, and leave with actionable tools and techniques to bring back to your workplaces to create a more inclusive environment for your staff and customers. 
THE WHY:
Studies have proven that fluency in and understanding of cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion is vital for business success, maximizing profitability and reducing employee turnover. As our increasingly diverse communities begin to re-emerge from the pandemic-driven recession, the necessity for leadership and understanding of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility has never been more vital. 
DISCUSSION THEMES AND TAKEAWAYS:
Because it can be tough to navigate truthful conversations about justice, equity, diversity, inclusion and accessibility (JEDIA) in the workplace, learning how to guide productive conversations will be the first step on our journey. During the six week cohort, you will be immersed in an environment of co-learning, co-mentoring and collaboration in which all participants will:
  • Create a positive learning environment designed to build trust and encourage people actively to participate.
  • Gain shared understanding of equity, Inclusion, justice and other key terminology and ideas.
  • Explore the personal experiences and learnings about identities and expressions.
  • Investigate the historical, social, and cultural foundations on which societal issues of racism, ableism, heterosexism, cissexism, etc. are built.
  • Identify ways that institutional systems of oppression are at play in our personal lives and institutions.
 ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
As a member of the Leading for Inclusion Cohort
  • Join a peer group of business leaders.
  • Five 3 hr. cohort sessions.
  • Meet 2 times within the 5 month cohort for one hour 1:1 sessions with a professional DEI coach.
  • Sessions include peer group DEI leadership topics and allotted time for dialogue.
